The vast majority of French companies are eligible to apply for one or more grant programmes to help their expansion.

There are four main categories of funding, which can be obtained at the European, State, Regional and Departmental levels:

- Social security assistance (exemption from or reduction in social contributions, premiums, covering of vocational training costs, etc.),
- Financial aid (grants, advances, interest free loans, etc.),
